Coffee and Weeds

Maintaining a garden is a lot of work but we have some gardening tips to help you manage. Breaking large tasks down into small tasks can be very helpful. In the mornings we like to take a walk through the garden. By grounding yourself in nature you can start your day with a bit of calm. Bringing coffee with us for the walk creates a ritual that we have come to enjoy.

Now that we have taken a look around and enjoyed the view of our garden we do some small easy tasks that help our garden stay in order. You are in a great mind set so you can begin to do a task that are not always loved, pulling weeds. By just pulling up a few weeds you are creating a great maintenance system. We have had times where our weeds have gotten out of control and we had to spend a day trying to get it back in order. A little bit each day really makes a difference.

Another easy task that can be completed in between sips of your coffee is to remove suckers from your tomato plants. The suckers are small shoots, or leaves, that sprout where the stem and the branch meet. When you remove the suckers you give more energy to the plant to focus on producing tomatoes! Hopefully these small gardening tips will help you maintain your garden and enjoy the process.
